Mary Allen, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Huntington Living Center.
Born at home in Geneva, N.Y., on March 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Stella (Lee) Madigan. Mary worked for many years as a seamstress at Michaels-Stern & Company, Inc. in Penn Yan, N.Y. Later, she devoted her time to working alongside her husband, William, in their janitorial service business.
Mary's life was marked by service and compassion. As an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, she and William lovingly crafted and donated hundreds of lap quilts and quilts to families in need and to nursing homes, leaving behind a legacy of kindness stitched into every piece.
She is survived by her daughter, Lavonne (Allen) Willumson; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, William C. Allen; her son, Ronald; her daughter, Judy; her granddaughter, Tracey A. Snyder; and her grandson, Jeffrey L. Radka.
Mary will be remembered for her devotion to family, her faith, and her generous spirit.
