Lester VanGelder, 83, of Waterloo, N.Y., passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 in Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, N.Y.
In keeping with Lester's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warner VanRiper Post 435, 7 E. Williams St., Waterloo, N.Y., 13165.
Lester was born May 27, 1942 in Waterloo, N.Y., the son of Charles and Thelma Moses VanGelder. He was employed with various Finger Lakes companies over his many years of employment.
He is survived by his wife Melody; children Lester ""Laddy"" (Russell) VanGelder of Seattle, WA, William (Tammy) VanGelder of Prattsburg, N.Y., Robert VanGelder, and Tina VanGelder; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Lester was predeceased by his parents; and daughter MaryJo VanGelder.
