Jarrod Dane Strong, age 52, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
A Celebration of His Life will be held starting at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association, State Route 14, Dresden, NY.
Jarrod was born on June 28, 1972 in Canandaigua, NY. He was the youngest of three sons, raised by Lysle Strong and Darleen Strong-House. He remained the rest of his life in Penn Yan where he raised his four children.
Jarrod was a very hard-working man, who loved all things outdoors, from coaching youth lacrosse to spending hours in the field hunting and spending summers in Old Forge. He loved the winter when he could go skiing and snowmobiling with his brothers.
He is survived by his four children, Chelsea (Corey) Rapp, Bailey Strong, Alexia Strong (Jadon Mazur) and Noah Strong; granddaughter Cora Rapp; his mother Darleen Strong-House (Patrick House); girlfriend Laci Boozer; niece Mckala Strong; nephew Nicholas Strong; special aunt Joan Gollaher, and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jarrod was preceded in death by his father Lysle Strong, his brothers Lance and Tim Strong, and his uncle Steve Gollaher.
Jarrod will be remembered for bringing laughter and smiles to everyone he interacted with. He had an unshaken faith in God until the very end. His proudest accomplishments were his four children and granddaughter.
