James (Jim) Walter Hood, 82 passed away on April 12, in Lecanto, FL, after an extended illness.
Jim was born on May 11,1942, to Chester and Hazel Hood, in Clifton Springs, N.Y.
A native to Phelps, N.Y., Jim spent most of his life in the Finger Lakes area of Upstate N.Y. He was employed at Gould's Pumps in Seneca Falls, N.Y. before eventually moving to Florida.
Jim was predeceased by his 3 brothers: Ronald, Donald, and Carl David; and by 2 sisters, Peg Clingerman and Carol Pries.
Jim is survived by 2 sons, Scott (Patti) of Columbia TN and Greg (Mary) of Dublin, OH, four grandchildren; Ben, Zak, Josh, and Olivia; and 2 great grandchildren, all of Ohio.
He is also survived by 2 sisters, Janice DeBaere of Phelps, N.Y. and Betty Borrego of Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to HPH Hospice in Memory of James Hood.
