Jacqueline was born March 18, 1961 in Waterloo, N.Y., the daughter of Peter J. and Catherine Elizabeth Causemaker. She was a 1979 graduate of Waterloo High School. At an early age, Jacqueline suffered near total blindness, but in no way did she allow this to dampen her love for life. Jackie became a DJ playing at local pubs, she enjoyed going to concerts, camping, decorating for the holidays, caring for her cockatiels Precious and Kittles, maintaining her home, and enjoying her pool. At every turn and challenge of life, Jackie refused to be defined by her blindness, but with tenacious determination met each one head-on and persevered.
Jacqueline is survived by sisters, Patricia (Chris Mathewson) Plyter of Waterloo, N.Y., Sandy Kimball of Geneva, N.Y. and Dolly Lesuer of Phelps, N.Y.; stepson, Shawn Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her significant other, Bill Johnson; sister Linda Porter; and her parents.
