Iris Brower, 96, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at The Wayne County Nursing Home. Iris's lifelong wish was that her body be donated to The University of Rochester Medical School Anatomical Gift Program.
Mrs. Brower was born in Gloversville, N.Y. on March 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Floyd and Lena Madison Frank. Iris graduated from Gloversville High School. She worked as a waitress and for many years, out of her home, as a seamstress. One of her favorite hobbies was snow skiing.
She is survived by two sons, Garry (Donna) Brower, Steven (Tina) Brower; one daughter, Karen (Stephen) Abbey; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Brower.
