1932-2026
Harold Enos, 94, of Penn Yan, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, February 27, 2026.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harold was born January 22, 1932, in Penn Yan to George and Viola Enos. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Emogene, as well as his brothers Kenneth, Howard (Alice), Gerald (Ellen), and Gordon Enos, and sisters Oletha (Bob) Rugg and Shirley (Raymond) Anderson.
He is survived by his son Steve (Marilyn); daughters Cindy (Gary) Bradley and Pam (Don) Moyer; grandchildren Nicholas (Lauren), Michael (Megan), Kaitlyn and Andrea Bradley, and Nichole, Kristen and Sean Enos; great-grandchildren Emma, Owen, Walter, Henry, Grayson, Finn Bradley and Cayden Enos; sister-in-law Alma Enos; and many nieces and nephews.
Harold was an avid learner with a deep love for his family and an ongoing interest in their lives. He began his career as a dairy farmer on the family farm before moving on to other work, including driving truck for Don Frarey and later for the Town of Milo Highway Department. He then spent nearly 30 years with Penn Yan Express.
After retiring, Harold built a home overlooking Keuka Lake for himself and Emogene. The couple also spent winters in Zephyrhills and enjoyed traveling together with their fifth wheel, creating many lasting family memories.
Beyond carpentry, Harold was a licensed pilot with a seaplane rating. He loved reading and golf, continuing to play from the white tees well into his 80s. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, he also enjoyed playing guitar and banjo, and never passed up a game of cards or Bingo with his great-grandchildren. He remained a loyal sports fan, cheering on the New York Mets, Buffalo Bills, and Syracuse Orange.
His family expressed their thanks to Hospice for its support and care. Memorial donations may be made to Keuka Comfort Care Home or Milo Center United Methodist Church.
A private family graveside service will be held in the spring. Condolences may be shared through Weldon Funeral Home, which is assisting the family.
