Genevieve Coville

Genevieve M. Coville, 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed on Tuesday August 22, 2024 at Huntington Living Center, where she had been a resident.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 68 years, Duane Frederick Coville in 2019.

Ginny and Duane left their small farm in Little Utica, N.Y. in 1960 and purchased a large farm in Seneca Falls, N.Y., during which time she maintained her private home-based beauty shop for over fifty years. In 2006 they sold the farm and home, and retired to Waterloo, N.Y.

Genevieve was a generous, thoughtful, and considerate individual who regarded her clients not only as customers, but also as friends. She was devoted to her husband and her family. She and Duane loved the outdoors and camping, especially in the state of Vermont and locally at Ridgewood/Shed Acres.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dailey (Brian); her son David Coville (Shelly); her four grandaughters, Allison Eckhardt (Jason) of New Providence, N.J. ; Cassandra Anderson (Robert) of Glenville, N.Y.; Alyssa Chimileski (Andrew) of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; and Jennifer Dailey of Albany, N.Y. She was especially proud of her six great grandchildren, Gabrielle and Alexandra Eckhardt, Evelyn and Kaia Anderson, and Carter and Harper Chimileski.

Genevieve is predeceased by her step sisters, Lida Howe and Audrey Stratton; and her step brother, Harold Stratton.

It was Duane and Ginny's wish that a joint graveside private memorial service be held at Canoga Cemetery in Canoga, N.Y. after her passing.

Arrangements are in the care of the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc., 32 State St., Seneca Falls, N.Y.
