Ella Carragher

October 13, 1946 - February 14, 2026, Ella "Louise" Carragher, peacefully passed Saturday at FF Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua N.Y. surrounded by family.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, "Louise" loved her family. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino. She loved watching all Sports. She shared a Special Bond with her dog Rosie. In her earlier days she worked at Zotos and Adult Day Care at Seneca Nursing and Rehab Center.

The daughter of Arthur and Maxine Alford Schirmer, she was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Geneva, and currently attended St. Francis Church, Phelps.

Surviving are her children Cheryl R. Burnett (John Acquilano) Geneva, Mary M. Coleman (Michael Szozda) Phelps; grandchildren, Troy Randleman, Ally Acquilano, Ashton Carragher, Katy Acquilano, Michael Coleman; stepfather, Dean Long (Melissa) Dansville; son in law, Michael Coleman (Andrea Bogin), several siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

"Louise" was predeceased by her husband Richard; daughter Michelle; and granddaughter Kristen Patrick; brothers Ric Long and James Prattico,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 21, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Church Waterloo with the Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant.

A spring interment will be held in Sand Hill Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass, at St. Mary's Church 35 Center Street Waterloo, N.Y.
