Eileen was born in Geneva, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Linehan Jones, who welcomed her into their lives on July 29, 1936. She graduated from DeSales High School, class of 1954 and then went on to nursing school at St. Joseph's School of Nursing, graduating with the class of 1957. Eileen worked for many years at Geneva General Hospital advancing to Director of Ambulatory Care and later became the Director of Nursing. Eileen left Geneva General and went to work in a private practice with Dr. Jeffrey Allen in Canandaigua for several years before finally retiring. Shortly after retiring, she moved to Coconut Creek, FL and lived there happily for over twenty years before returning to Geneva in 2015.

Throughout her life, she made many close friends who were all special to her in various ways. She loved to golf and was a women's club champion at her residence in Windmor more than once. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved the Caribbean vacations she took with family and friends. She was a loving cousin to all of her family and will be missed by them.

Eileen was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Eileen is survived by her caring cousin, Barbara Carpenter and her friend Karen Cunningham, who helped care for her in her later years. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Francie Carroll and Christine "Rene" Iaconis, along with many other cousins and friends.

Eileen's family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff at Geneva Living Center North who cared for Eileen in her final years.
