Duane Chrysler

Duane 'Fritz' E. Chrysler, 82, passed away peacefully on Sun. (September 8, 2024), at Geneva General Hospital, with his family by his side.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Fri. (September 13), at St. Mary's Church, in Waterloo. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Fritz was born on December 5, 1941, in Waterloo and was a son of the late Frank and Anne (Harde) Chrysler. He graduated from Geneva High School, Class of 1959. Fritz worked as a car salesman for 42 years, starting at Lebrun Motors, Stenzel, then at Bill Cram Chevrolet. Upon his retirement from the auto industry, he drove bus for Seneca-Cayuga ARC and was a volunteer EMT for North Seneca Ambulance. Fritz was a man of his community and was a member of many area clubs. He was past president and King Lion of Lions Club, member of the Masonic Lodge, the Sons of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy, chair of Democratic party, and member of the Waterloo Village Board. Fritz also served as vice president of North Seneca Ambulance. In addition to serving the community, he enjoyed flying airplanes, golfing at the Seneca Lake and Seneca Falls Country Clubs and catching up with friends. He loved attending his Class of 1959 luncheons every two months. Fritz was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church, in Waterloo.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Breen Chrysler; oldest daughter, Michelle (JD) Piscatelli; youngest daughter, Leah (Chad) Queor; Leah's mother, Charlene; Sue's children, Beth Toth, Lee Ann (Keith) Breen and Willie (Missy) Breen; step sons, Paul (Sandy) Ottley, Michael (Eric) Ottley and Frank Ottley; niece, Jennifer (Jason) Chalker; grandchildren, Lauren (Dan) Piscatelli Hammond, Matthew (Katie) Piscatelli and Nicholas (Taylor Rose) Piscatelli, Emily, Alexis and Dane Queor; Emily, Alexandria, Brady and Gracie Breen-Snyder, Sam (Gabbie) Breen, Lyla and Lexi; great-grandchildren, Riley and Joey Rozak, Gianluca and Philip Piscatelli, Amelia 'Emmy' and Theodore 'Theo' Piscatelli and Liliee; great-great-granddaughter, Ophelia; good friends, Karen Corcoran, Carol Devaney, the Lebrun family, Phillip's family and all of his 1959 classmates.

Fritz was predeceased by his good friend, John Barnard and his close friends from the Class of 1959; Leah's grandmother, Arlene Marino; grandson, Jeremy Rozak.
