Cynthia Cataldo 68 of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 5, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Family and Friends may call on Thursday (November 16) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral Services will take place immediately following at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Cindy was born on April 27, 1955 in Silver Creek N.Y. the daughter of the late Bradley Bock and Barbara (Barrus) Ritz. She grew up on Sandrock Rd. in Eden, N.Y., where she graduated from Eden High School in 1973, with her parents and many siblings, faithful family dog Caesar, and her trusty horse. She retired from Canandaigua Wine Co. where she worked in the Lab and bottling room.

Cindy was a dedicated and tireless advocate of all creatures large and small, and contributed much of her time, effort, and resources to several volunteer animal rescue causes and organizations. She read voraciously and was an active member of the Geneva Public Library Book Club. Cindy was a talented scholastic athlete and an avid sports fan who loved college basketball and the Buffalo Bills. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was known by all to be reliable, selfless, and devoted. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by; two cats, Cali and Torrey; son, Jason of Utica; grand twins, Calvin of Geneva and Lona of South Florida; sisters, Lynn of South Carolina, Laurie of Northern California, Michelle of Rushville and Ronda of Canandaigua; brother, Brandon of Philadelphia; brothers-in-law, PJ Lango, Dennis Weidner, Brad Donner and Ron Barton; several nieces and nephews; step-mother, Judy Bock; uncle, Gary Bock; former brother-in-law and good friend, Michael Nierenberg; close friend, Dave Fox as well as many other good friends and neighbors whose lives she touched.

Cindy was predeceased by; parents, Bradley and Barbara; sister, Sharon Nierenberg; Lucky the cat.
