
Constant Marlene Standbrook suddenly passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida. Constant was born in Lyons, N.Y. on June 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Lyman Laverne Briggs and Mildred Wise Farnam. After graduation from Leavenworth School in Wolcott, N.Y., Connie continued her education at Auburn Community College, where she earned her degree in Computer Science. Connie was employed with Parker Hannifin, Lyons N.Y. and retired from Sylvania Plant, Seneca Falls, N.Y.. For many years she also worked with Bob Gray driving bus and taking care of children with disabilities.
Connie loved to go on cruises, dancing, bowling and going out to lunch or dinner with her friends from both New York and Florida. Connie enjoyed coming back to N.Y. and staying with her daughter, Debbie and son-in-law, Mark for 2-3 months every year. Connie led an incredible life; she had an adventurous spirit and boundless energy. She impressed so many with her willingness to always try something new and she never seemed to sit still. Connie was known for always wearing hats, jewelry and cowboy boots. She had a heart of gold and always cherished her relationships with her family and friends both new and old. She touched the lives of everyone she met.
Connie was always a hard worker and an exceptional mother, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma; she was extremely proud of her family. She lived a full and vibrant life from the beginning to the end. Connie was blessed to pass away peacefully and to be surrounded by her family during her final days; her daughter Debbie Wright; granddaughters, Kristy Breese and Shelly (William) Fisher.
Connie is survived by her son, Dennis (Star) Standbrook; her daughter, Debbie (Mark) Wright; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie Standbrook and her brothers, Bruce Briggs and Keith Briggs.
A calling hour will be held Friday, May 2 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11 a.m. all in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St. Auburn
Private burial will be in Huron Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
