Charlotte Eileen G. Chapin, age 87, went Home to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025.
Family and friends may call on Friday, Dec. 26 from 4-7 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home, 2583 East Main St., Gorham, N.Y. 14461. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at Pathway Community Church, 4317 County Rd. 46, Canandaigua, N.Y. 14424. Burial will follow in Little Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte's name to Golisano Children's Hospital for children's cancer research, 150 Crittenden Blvd., Rochester, N.Y. 14642, or to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, N.Y. 14456.
Charlotte was born on November 17, 1938 to James Henry and Charlotte Pearl (Cunningham) Goodenough. She was an account clerk typist for Ontario County for Economical Development and the Planning Department.
Charlotte was a woman of strong faith who lived her life to the fullest. She always put others first and she thought of others before herself. Charlotte loved spending time with her family at their River Camp on the Grasse River in Canton; it was her place of peace.
Charlotte is survived by her children; JoAnne (Tom) Estey, Robert M. (Kimberly) Chapin, Ronald A. (Jess) Chapin, Richard Scott (Marcia) Chapin, Diane (Dale) Foster and Rebecca (Mark) Catlin; grandchildren, Melony (Anthony) Trementozzi, Elizabeth (Blake) Hall, Jenny Rosato, Samuel (Ciara) Rosato Jr., Jesse David (Tabitha) Rosato, Valorie Rosato, Catherine (Breanna) Rosato, James Rosato, Aimee (Frank) Longoria and Sierra Rosato, Kayley Chapin, Joshua Chapin and Jaimie (Chris) McCann, Wendy Christensen and Darren Chapin, Sarah Chapin, Matthew Chapin, and Justin Chapin, Shawn Foster, Rachel Foster, and Micaela (Cody) Burns, Alyssa Grishaber, Hope Brennan, Ethan Catlin, Emily Catlin and Ellie Catlin; and numerous great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert Chapin; son-in-law, Samuel Rosato Sr.; two great-grandsons, Maxwell Bayer and Jaxson Keppen; and her siblings, Marjorie Padula, Robert, James and Harold Goodenough.
