
Carol Ann Kenyon, 74, of Clyde, N.Y., died January 29, 2025 of complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Carol was born in Lyons, N.Y. in 1950 to Dorotha Bowman and Joseph Fratangelo and grew up in Clyde, N.Y. Carol attended St. John's Catholic School and graduated from Clyde High School. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree for education from SUNY Geneseo and, ultimately, a master's degree in counseling from SUNY Oswego. Carol worked the majority of her professional career at North Rose Wolcott Central School District, first as a middle school math teacher, and then moving into a counseling role at the high school, achieving Director of Counseling for the district before she retired in 2005. Carol was an avid volunteer in retirement for Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County and ARC Wayne, for which she served as President of the Board of Directors, among other BOD positions.
Carol was predeceased in death by her father, Joseph Fratangelo; brothers in law Georg Mifeck and Jerry Ross; and is survived by her husband, Richard J Kenyon; mother, Dorotha Loder of Newark, N.Y.; sisters, Judy Ross, of Clyde, N.Y., Jo Mifeck, of Asheville, N.C., and Betty (Ken) Doyle,of Rochester, N.Y., two daughters, Erin (Julie) Kerr of Spencer, N.Y., and Leslie Donk; and two grandchildren, Morgan Kerr and Ares Kerr; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Clyde, N.Y. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County and/or ARC Wayne would be greatly appreciated.
