Bruce W. VanEtten, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Bruce was born on Monday, April 5, 1943, in Lockport, New York, the son of Hiram and Doris (Martin) VanEtten. He grew up in the Palmyra area and graduated from Palmyra High School. Following graduation, Bruce went to work at Mobil, formerly Kordite, as a mechanical engineer, where he met the love of his life, Linda. Bruce greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and took pleasure in hunting and fishing, golfing, gardening, bowling, and birdwatching with his wife.
Bruce will be remembered by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Downey; mother, Doris VanEtten; daughters, Anne (Christopher) Dhondt, Julie (Corey) Dunn, and Sandra (Kayle) Stettner; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Sandy) VanEtten; and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce is predeceased by his father, Hiram.
