Barney D. Wandell, age 68, of Geneva, N.Y., passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital surrounded by his family.
Barney was born in Clifton Springs, NY to the late Sidney & Betty Wandell. He was a graduate of Phelps-Clifton Springs High School. Barney was the former owner operator of B & W Auto Sales and Salvage for 21 years. He was a member of Seeley B. Parish Post 457 Sons of the American Legion, the Finger Lakes Masonic Lodge 139, and the Tice & The Shores Florida Moose Lodge 1297.
Barney is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patti; his sons, Dean (Kayla) Wandell of Worthington, PA and Glen (Megan) Wandell of Penfield, N.Y.; his niece, Tina Yancey of Buffalo, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Christopher Wandell, Madison Grates, Leighton Wandell & Paisley Wandell.
In keeping with Barney's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private celebration will take place as Barney would say, "when the sun's out and the weather is warmer."
