Anne Lewis

Anne E. Lewis, age 56, passed away peacefully October 23, 2024, at Clifton Springs Hospital, surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Newark, N.Y., Anne attended Buffalo State College, where she studied graphic design, later serving as a beloved church administrator at St. John's Episcopal in Clifton Springs, N.Y. Her dedication to service led her to organize activities like community dinners and coat drives. She also volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years.

Anne was fiercely devoted to her children and stepchildren. She leaves behind Daniel Rodney, Chester Lewis, Nicole "Nikki" Rodney, Trisha Rodney, James "Jimmy" Rodney, Andrew Rodney and bonus child Julien Bertram.

Her sharp wit and keen sense of humor brightened countless moments, and she always spoke up for those who needed a friend or an advocate. Throughout her life, Anne was an avid crafter, accomplished musician and classical ballet dancer. A fan of science fiction and travel, Anne found joy in exploring imaginative worlds and cherished her journeys around the world.

She is survived by mother Carol (Wellott) Lewis; brother Michael Lewis (Justin Doyle); aunts Blanche Wellott, Elissa Wellot and Stefania Wellott. She is predeceased by her father, James Lewis.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. The family requests donations be made in her honor to the vestry fund of St. John's Episcopal Church, Clifton Springs, N.Y.
