Alan Alcott

Alan R. Alcott, age 74 passed away after a brief illness at his home with his loving wife by his side. Alan was born in Malone, N.Y. son of Robert D. and Betty L (Bowers) Alcott.

Alan graduated from Gates Chili in 1967. Alan attended Ohio University and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Alan married the love of his life, Karslee Jameson on July 8, 1967. After which they started their family which grew into a small crowd. Alan was a talented finish carpenter who had worked at Kodak and Kelsey Construction. Alan owned and operated Finger Lakes Whitetail Deer Farm. Alan loved many things but most of all he loved his family. Alan lived on the family farm land where he enjoyed hunting and hosting many family gatherings. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ronald D. Alcott and his great-granddaughter Riley Grace Osterhout.

Survived by his wife Karslee (Jameson) Alcott, Children Heidi Alcott, Jennifer L. (Daniel) Bates and Robert J. (Jennifer) Alcott; grandchildren Amanda (Joseph) Briggs, Jesse Alcott, Desiree Bates, Jennica Osterhout, Anthony Davis, Valerie Bates, Angelina Alcott, Lucas Alcott; siblings James (Anne) Alcott, Gary (Carol) Alcott, Laurie (Keith) Ewanyk; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held Tuesday, (February 13) at Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home. An open remembrance event will be held at the SMS, 95 Ovid Street, Seneca Falls immediately following at 2:30 p.m.
