A woman was killed after her car collided with a tractor-trailer in Wayne County Tuesday morning.
34-year-old Kayla Finch, of Wolcott, lost control of her car while she was traveling south on State Route 414 in the town of Galen. Police say she crossed over into the northbound lane and struck a tractor-trailer. The impact sent both vehicles off the road and caused the tractor-trailer to overturn. Finch was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer from Wyoming County was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Clyde Fire Department, Lyons Fire Department, Seneca Falls Fire Department, Clyde Ambulance, Lyons Ambulance, Wayne County Advanced Life Support, and the New York State Police.
