Keuka College Women’s Basketball’s Lillian Mullen (Canisteo, N.Y. / Canisteo-Greenwood) was named the Empire 8 Conference’s Women’s Basketball Rooke of the Week on Monday.
Mullen’s big week helped propel the Wolves to three straight home wins. She began her week with 13 points against Penn College. Mullen then led the Wolves with a team-high 15 points against Hilbert College. She then closed the week with seven points in Keuka College’s victory over SUNY Delhi. For the week, Mullen averaged 11.7 points per game. She was efficient from the field going 5-9 from three and shooting over 60% from the floor overall.
Mullen is third on the team for the season with 9.6 points per game. She is shooting 35.7% from three and 42.6% from the floor. She also averages 3.9 rebounds per game, is second on the team with 18 assists, and leads the Wolves with 11 steals.
Mullen and the Wolves will look to run their win streak at home to four games before Thanksgiving break. Keuka College will host Alfred State College at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
