Keuka College junior center Brooke Burd (Canisteo, N.Y. / Canisteo-Greenwood) has been named Third Team All-Conference by the Empire 8 Conference, the league announced Thursday.
Burd is the first player in the history of the Keuka College women’s basketball program to earn All-Empire 8 honors and the first Wolf to receive all-conference recognition since Sam Laranjo ’20 was named Third Team All-Conference in the North Eastern Athletic Conference in 2020.
Burd finished the season as the Empire 8 leader in double-doubles, averaging 10.0 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She recorded 11 double-doubles, setting a new single-season program record, and now ranks third on the program’s career list.
She scored a career-high 241 points as a junior and totaled 268 rebounds during the 2025-26 season, also a personal best. Her rebound total ranks fifth-most in a single season in program history and is the highest by a Keuka player since the 1991-92 campaign. Defensively, Burd averaged more than one block per game, ranking fourth in the conference, and her 35 blocks are tied for the fifth-most in a single season at Keuka.
Also recognized by the conference was first-year guard Emiley Anderson (Gerry, N.Y. / Cassadaga Valley), who was named to the Empire 8 Tomorrow’s Leaders Team. Anderson took on an expanded role in the second half of the season and doubled her scoring production in conference play.
She was one of 12 student-athletes selected for the honor. According to the conference, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Team recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate leadership on the court, in the classroom and in the community, while competing with honor and integrity.
