Three Keuka College women’s volleyball student-athletes were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
Lilah Cousins (Denver, Colo. / Westminster), Rosslan Force (Penn Yan, N.Y. / Penn Yan Academy), and Gabby Rodriguez (Floresville, Texas / Floresville) earned the honor in recognition of their academic achievement.
The trio were part of a conference-record 36 student-athletes from the Empire 8 Conference to receive Academic All-District recognition. Eleven of the conference’s 12 institutions had at least one student-athlete earn the distinction.
All three sophomores started all 26 matches for the Green and Gold during the fall season.
Cousins took a step forward in her second season, setting personal bests with 56 kills and 28 blocks. She recorded a season-high six kills against MCLA in the season-opening match and later set a career high with four blocks at St. Lawrence University.
Force made an immediate impact in her first season with Keuka College, ranking third on the team with 98 kills and leading the squad with 39 blocks. She set a career high with 11 kills in a five-set match against Plattsburgh State in September and twice recorded five blocks in a match to establish a personal best.
Rodriguez has been one of the top liberos in the Empire 8 Conference in each of her first two seasons. After ranking fifth in the conference as a freshman with 4.01 digs per set, she improved to 4.60 digs per set as a sophomore, ranking third in the Empire 8. Rodriguez set a new career high with 31 digs in a conference match at Utica University on Halloween and surpassed 400 digs on the season, finishing with 405 in 2025—just outside the top ten for digs in a single season in program history.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have at least sophomore standing, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, and compete in at least 90 percent of their team’s matches.
