The Keuka College Women’s Soccer team played Hartwick College to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon in an Empire 8 Conference game.
Keuka College (1-8-1, 0-4-1 Empire 8) got two saves in goal from Elianna Wilder (Victor, N.Y. / Victor). Delaney Goodenow (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) had a pair of shots on goal for the Green and Gold.
The Wolves had an early attempt in the fifth minute, but the shot from Peyton Steates (Whitesboro, N.Y. / Whitesboro) was stopped. Midway through the first, Wilder was called upon for a save, but most of the first half was a battle for possession. Hartwick did get a corner kick late but the ensuing shot went left of the goal.
Keuka College again had an early attempt but Goodenow’s shot was saved 38 seconds into the half. Hartwick responded and started to build some offense against the Wolves, but failed to convert in the final third. Their best chance came in the 79th minute off a corner kick, but the Keuka College defense was able to clear the ball off the line to preserve the scoreless draw.
