The Keuka College Women’s Lacrosse team lost an Empire 8 Conference game at Russell Sage College 17-7 on Friday night.
Keuka College (4-6, 1-4 Empire 8) was led by Lainie Forde (Waterloo, N.Y. / Waterloo) with three goals. Brooke Bonetti (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) added a pair for the Wolves.

The Gators scored the first two goals of the game, but Brooke Bonetti answered for the Wolves to make it 2-1. Russell Sage had an answer a minute later. That sparked a run of 10 unanswered for the hosts as Russell Sage led 12-1 at the half.
Keuka College came out of the break and converted on an extra-man opportunity with Maddie Fassinger (Camillus, N.Y. / West Genesee) getting the goal. Sage scored, but Keuka College won the quarter 3-1. Lainie Forde scored both goals for the Wolves with the second coming two seconds before the end of the quarter making it 13-4.
Tori Nelson (Vernon Center, N.Y. / Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) extended the run to three with a goal. Sage and Keuka would trade goals back and forth to make it 15-7. Russell Sage closed with a pair of goals to defeat Keuka College 17-7.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold return home for a pair of games at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. The Wolves host SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday. Keuka College will then play their final home game of the season next Saturday, hosting Hartwick College.
