The Keuka College women’s basketball team fell 76-56 to St. John Fisher in conference play on the road Friday.

Three Wolves reached double figures in scoring, led by senior Mary Cotter (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) with 15 points. Lillian Mullen (Canisteo, N.Y./Canisteo-Greenwood) and Emily Anderson (Gerry, N.Y./Cassadaga Valley) each added 12 points.

Keuka College (6-7, 1-4 E8) opened the scoring with a pair of free throws, but St. John Fisher (6-8, 3-2 E8) responded with an 11-0 run. Mary Cotter ended the streak with a three-pointer, but the Cardinals kept up their hot shooting, finishing the first quarter with a 25-11 lead, shooting 3-of-4 from three-point range and 50 percent from the field.

The Wolves cut the deficit to 10 early in the second quarter as Lillian Mullen scored four of Keuka’s first four points of the period. However, St. John Fisher maintained its offensive momentum and kept the Wolves from mounting a sustained run. Keuka trailed 43-26 at halftime.

The Cardinals opened the second half with a three-pointer to extend their lead to 20 and continued to respond to every Wolves basket. Keuka entered the fourth quarter down 64-43.

The Wolves outscored St. John Fisher 13-12 in the final period, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit, and the Cardinals secured the home victory.
