The Keuka College Softball team ended their 2025 season in style as the Wolves walked it off for a 6-5 victory over Houghton University on Friday.
Game two of the doubleheader between Keuka College (6-28, 4-17 Empire 8) was called due to a storm that passed through Keuka Park.
Senior Emily Cutrona (Buffalo, N.Y. / West Seneca West) had three hits in her final career game for the Wolves. Fellow senior Makenna DeMoney (Conklin, N.Y. / Susquehanna Valley) had two hits and drove in three runs for the Wolves. Giana Mruczek (Batavia, N.Y. / Batavia) had the game-winning RBI for Keuka College, hitting a sacrifice fly to score pinch runner Sienna Olney (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton).
Houghton University took the lead in the top of the third inning with a run, but the Wolves responded in the bottom of the frame. Katie Landers (Batavia, N.Y. / Batavia Notre Dame) led the inning off with a triple. She scored on a double by Kaylin Ritenour (Madison, Pa. / Yough) to tie the game. Ritenour moved to third on a bunt single by Hailey Jasinski (Buffalo, N.Y. / North Collins). After Jasinski stole second, both runners came home on a two-run single by Makenna DeMoney as the Wolves took a 3-1 lead.
The Wolves added to their lead in the fifth as Kaylin Ritenour hit her second double of the game. The first-year stole third and scored on an infield single by Makenna DeMoney to make it 4-1.

The Highlanders used a two-out rally in the seventh to tie the game. Hailey Jasinski doubled for the Wolves in the bottom of the seventh but was stranded and the game would go to extra innings.
Starting pitcher Olivia Flynn (Williamson, N.Y. / Williamson) remained in the game in extra innings and got stronger. The junior struck out the side in the eighth inning. Neither team was able to able to break through in the first two extra frames and the game would go to the tenth and start with a placed runner on second base.
Houghton bunted their runner to third, but Flynn got a pair of popouts in the infield to end the threat and send Keuka to the plate.
