Keuka College (0-4) lost their opener to Buffalo State 3-1. The Wolves then fell to Keene State 12-0 in five innings.

Buffalo State University 3 vs. Keuka College 1

The Wolves jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first as Olivia Flynn (Williamson, N.Y. / Williamson) turned a pitch around and doubled down the left field line. She moved to third on a single by Hailey Jasinski (Buffalo, N.Y. / North Collins). The Wolves went for a double steal. Jasinski ended up getting in a run down and was tagged out, but it allowed Flynn to score for the 1-0 advantage.

The Bengals answered right back with a run in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. The Wolves looked to get the lead back as a leadoff walk advanced to the third, but a strikeout ended the inning. Buffalo State was able to take the lead in the bottom of the frame on three singles to make it 2-1.

The Wolves got a single in the top of the third, but that would prove to be the last hit for the Green and Gold. Buffalo State added a solo home run in the sixth for insurance as they continued on to defeat the Wolves 3-1.

Lead Wolf: To go with her double and run scored, Olivia Flynn went the distance in the circle for the Wolves. The junior struck out five and did not walk a batter.

Keene State College 12 vs. Keuka College 0 (5 inn.)

Keene State took the lead in the top of the first inning, but the Wolves looked to answer. Olivia Flynn singled for Keuka in the bottom of the inning. Two walks loaded the bases for the Wolves with two outs, but a popout ended the threat.

The Owls broke the game open with seven runs in the third inning. The Wolves once again immediately threatened. Emily Cutrona (Buffalo, N.Y. / West Seneca West) singled to lead off the inning and Flynn and Jasinski followed with walks to load the bases with no outs. However, the Owls would get a popout for one out and then turn a 1-2-3 double play to end the inning.

Keene State added some insurance runs as they defeated Keuka College 12-0 in five innings.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have a day off down in Florida on Wednesday. The Green and Gold will return to the diamond on Thursday with games against the University of Southern Maine and Framingham State University.
