The Keuka College Men’s Soccer team opened its 2025 season Friday afternoon with a 1-0 loss at SUNY Morrisville in non-conference play.
First-year goalkeeper Logan Karn (Caledonia, N.Y. / Caledonia-Mumford) made six saves in his collegiate debut, holding the Mustangs scoreless over the final 55 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Game Recap
Keuka generated the first scoring chance of the match, but Morrisville answered with a flurry of corner kicks before breaking through in the 17th minute. The Wolves’ task grew more difficult in the 34th, when their starting keeper was issued a red card for handling the ball outside the box, reducing Keuka to 10 men.
Despite the disadvantage, the Wolves trailed just 1-0 at halftime. Keuka’s chances to rally disappeared in the second half after a second yellow card left them playing with only nine men. The Mustangs controlled possession and outshot Keuka 15-0 after the break to secure the win.
