First-year goalie Jaxson Tucker (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy) had a big college debut for the Wolves. His effort was recognized by the Empire 8 Conference by being named the Men’s Lacrosse Goalie of the Week.
Tucker turned away 17 shots on Saturday against Marywood University. The performance tied for the second-most saves in a game by an Empire 8 goalie this season.
In total, he faced 24 shots against the Pacers. Tucker’s .708 save percentage leads the Empire 8 and ranks sixth nationally.
The Wolves are back on the lacrosse field this Wednesday as Keuka College faces Thiel College. Faceoff against the Tomcats from the Jephson Community Athletic Complex is slated for 4 p.m.
