The Keuka Men’s Lacrosse team outscored Hilbert College 10-0 in the second half to secure a 15-1 non-conference victory on Saturday.
Harrison Root (Jefferson, N.J. / Jefferson) continued his hot run of play with five goals for Keuka College (3-2). Mitchell Wise (Greece, N.Y. / Hilton) and Austin Holsclaw (Queensbury, N.Y. / Queensbury) added three goals apiece in the win. Jaxson Tucker (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy) made 10 saves in goal for the Wolves.
The Wolves wasted no time on Saturday. Carson Montoney (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) won the opening faceoff as Alexander Gitsis (North Chili, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) collected the ground ball. The ball worked to Aiden Nice (Palmyra, N.Y. / Palmyra-Macedon) who found Harrison Root for the goal 48 seconds into the game. The Wolves doubled their lead minutes later with Austin Holsclaw getting the tally. The lead would stay at two for the rest of the quarter. Tucker made a pair of saves as the Wolves led 2-0 after one.
Hilbert took advantage of a man-up opportunity to start the second quarter and scored 22 seconds in to make it a 2-1 game. Keuka slowed the Hawks’ momentum and regained their two goal lead minutes later as Nice found Mitchell Wise for the goal. Wise and Root would add goals towards the end of the frame to give Keuka a 5-1 lead at the half.
The second half was all Keuka College. Nickolas Gitsis (North Chili, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) scored for the Wolves with Holsclaw getting the assist. Harrison Root logged a goal with five minutes left in the frame. Tre Lloyd (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy)then scored a pair of goals in the final 1:05 of the quarter to give the Wolves a 9-1 advantage.
Lloyd kept rolling for the Wolves as he assisted on goals by Holsclaw and Root in the first 1:32 of the fourth quarter. Austin Holsclaw completed his hat trick for the Wolves. Mason Buckley (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) then had a pair of assists, setting up Wise and Root for goals. Ryan Bewlay (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport) capped the scoring for the Wolves on the man-up as Keuka College defeated Hilbert College 15-1.

- Keuka College has won five straight against Hilbert College. The Wolves are 14-1 overall against the Hawks
- The one goal allowed tied for the lowest allowed in the series. Keuka won 14-1 in 2013
- Nikolas Gitsis scored his first collegiate goal on Saturday while Mason Buckley and Logan Crannell (Oswego, N.Y. / Oswego) got their first assists for the Wolves
- Logan McMurtry (Rochester, N.Y. / Gates-Chili) broke a tie and moved into seventh with 57 career caused turnovers
- With 10 saves against just one goal, Jaxson Tucker has now posted a save percentage of .667 or better in four of five games for the Wolves.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will return home on Wednesday night as Keuka College hosts Oswego State under the lights at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. Faceoff between the Wolves and the Lakers is set for 7 p.m.
