The Keuka College men’s basketball team dropped a non-conference matchup at home Tuesday night, falling 92–75 to Alfred State.
Lamar Lovelace (Rochester, N.Y. / Northeast College Prep) led the Wolves (2–6) with a season-high 27 points and nine rebounds. Akinlana Popoola (Cleveland, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) added 15 points in the loss.

Alfred State opened the night with back-to-back threes to jump out to a 6–0 lead, but Keuka responded with seven straight points to take the advantage. The Wolves stretched the lead to 13–8 on a steal and dunk by Lovelace.
The Pioneers regained momentum with a run of their own, but a three-pointer by Chase Welch (Buffalo, N.Y. / The Park School) briefly put Keuka back on top. Alfred State answered by hitting three straight threes, building a 24–16 lead. Keuka cut the deficit to one, but the Pioneers held the edge at halftime, 39–34.
Five minutes into the second half, Lovelace hit a three to bring the Wolves within two at 51–49. Alfred State responded, and while Makya Morrison (Oneonta, N.Y. / Oneonta) added a tip-in to keep Keuka close, the Pioneers’ hot shooting from long range took over. Alfred State went 10-for-15 from deep in the second half and pulled away for the 92–75 win.

- Alfred State ties the all-time series at 4–4. Keuka won the first four meetings; Alfred State has won the last four.
- The Pioneers’ long-range shooting proved decisive — 17 made threes on better than 50% shooting, compared to seven for Keuka.
- Lovelace grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Keuka was out-rebounded 43–36, its first deficit on the boards this season.
- First-year guard Malik Junious-Fuller (Queens, N.Y. / The Patrick School, N.J.) made his first career start.
