The Keuka College field hockey team dropped a 5-0 non-conference decision to Marian University on Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

The Wolves (0–5) relied heavily on their goalkeepers as Khadeeja Reed (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Thomas) and Nijeylie Torres (East Irondequoit, N.Y. / Eastridge) combined for 20 saves. Reed stopped seven shots in the first half, while Torres posted a career-high 13 saves after the break.

Marian struck early, scoring in the fifth minute and adding another just before the end of the first quarter. The Sabres made it 3-0 with a late second-quarter goal and added two more in the fourth to seal the win. Keuka was outshot 12-0 in the opening half and 19-1 overall.

KC Notes
