Keuka Cross Country Concludes Season at Empire 8 Championships

The Keuka College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams wrapped up their 2025 seasons on Saturday, competing in the Empire 8 Championships hosted by St. John Fisher University. Both teams placed ninth overall, capping the fall campaign with strong performances and several personal bests.


Men’s Results – 8K

The Wolves finished ninth in the men’s 8K race with a team score of 312, narrowly trailing Russell Sage College by nine points and SUNY Poly by 12.

Lead Wolf: First-year runner Alston Hernandez (Clyde, N.Y. / North Rose-Wolcott) led Keuka for the second consecutive meet, finishing 85th overall in 32:22.5 — a personal best by 17 seconds.

KC Notes:

  • This marked Keuka’s fourth appearance in the Empire 8 Championships.
  • Both Hernandez and Fleming posted personal-best times, with Fleming cutting over 90 seconds from his previous mark.
  • Senior Jesse Bolster concluded his collegiate career with his 27th race, tying for fourth-most in program history. Over his career, he topped 747 competitors and ranks ninth all-time in individual wins for Keuka.

Women’s Results – 6K

The Keuka women placed ninth with a team score of 294 and an average time of 32:28.3 on the 6K course.

Lead Wolf: First-year Victoria Hirner (Buffalo, N.Y. / John F. Kennedy) capped her standout debut season by leading the Green and Gold with a 29:49.8 finish, placing 90th overall. The effort marked her first time breaking the 30-minute barrier in the 6K.
