The Keuka College Cross Country teams competed at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday at Houghton University.
The Women’s team took seventh for the Wolves while the Men’s team finished tenth.
The personal bests in the 6K were broken by the Keuka College Women’s Cross Country team on Saturday. Leading the way was first-year Mae Ennis (Churchville, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili). She cut into her best time to finish the race in 27:26.5 and take a personal-best 60th place.
Christina Curtis (Rensselaer, N.Y. / Columbia) took five minutes off her best 6K time and Jessica Oliveras (Cohoes, N.Y. / Cohoes) reduced her best time by four minutes. Curtis finished second for the Wolves in 79th place. Madeline Braunius (Lake Pleasant, N.Y.) and Suzie Lim (Brockport, N.Y. / Brockport) were next to cross the finish line in 80th and 81st place in their first collegiate 6K race.
For the Men’s team, Jesse Bolster (Dolgeville, N.Y. / Dolgeville) continued to pace the squad, running the 8K in 32:20.4 to finish in 106th place. Next across was Andrew Morrison (Hammondsport, N.Y. / Hammondsport) who placed 125th with a time of 36:38.4 in his first collegiate 8K.
Anthony Manzari (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira) and Cam Hovater (Camillus, N.Y. / West Genesee) were next to cross the finish line for the Wolves. The duo each shaved three minutes off their previous personal best times.
The Wolves will jump one lake over next weekend for their next race. Keuka College will run in the CCOC Championships at Seneca Lake State Park on October 19.
