Keuka College junior Cassidy Scheftic, a defender from East Syracuse, N.Y., has been named to the 2025 Empire 8 Field Hockey Tomorrow’s Leaders Team.
Scheftic was a key player for the Wolves this season, starting all 16 games on defense. She recorded a defensive save and also contributed offensively, scoring Keuka’s goal against Houghton University.
A nursing major with a GPA above 3.5, Scheftic has started every game in her two-year career at Keuka.
The Empire 8 honored 11 student-athletes across the conference for their leadership on and off the field. According to the conference, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Team recognizes players who “emerge as leaders not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community,” and who “compete with honor and integrity.”
