The Keuka College Men’s Golf team finished in sixth place on Monday in the fall portion of the Empire 8 Championship.
The conference championship consists of four rounds with two being contested in the fall and two in the spring.
The Wolves opened the tournament at Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club with a 337 on Sunday. They then posted a 347 on Monday to finish sixth in the eight-team field.
First-year Stephen Carr (New Paltz, N.Y. / New Paltz) led the Wolves with a 169 to finish in 26th place. He shot an 85 on Sunday and an 84 on Monday.
Tyler Green (Sackets Harbor, N.Y. / Sackets Harbor)was two strokes behind him with a 171 and Cam Hovater (Camillus, N.Y. / West Genesee) finished a stroke behind that with a 172. Hovater had an impressive card with three birdies in round one and posted an eagle in round two.
The Wolves have one final tournament in the fall portion of their schedule on Monday, October 14 as Keuka College plays in the Nazareth University Fall Invitational.
