The Keuka College women’s volleyball team dropped both of its matches Saturday on day two of the North Country Classic. The Wolves fell in straight sets to Clarkson University, 3–0, before taking Plattsburgh State to five sets in a narrow 3–2 loss.

Junior Nina Scott led Keuka offensively, recording 11 kills and two aces against Clarkson, followed by a strong performance against Plattsburgh with 15 kills, six aces, and three blocks. Sophomore Summer Elza paced the Wolves in assists throughout the day, tallying 14 against Clarkson and 18 against Plattsburgh.

In the opener against Clarkson, Keuka battled to a close 25–20 loss in the first set before the Golden Knights pulled away in the next two, winning 25–11 and 25–23 to complete the sweep.

The Wolves then took Plattsburgh to the limit in a five-set thriller. Keuka won the opening set 28–26 and later grabbed a 2–1 lead after taking the third 25–16. But Plattsburgh answered, evening the match with a 25–14 fourth set and edging the Wolves 16–14 in a back-and-forth fifth set that featured seven ties.

Keuka (0–4) will look to rebound when they head to Rochester for the University of Rochester Invitational. The Wolves open tournament play Friday, September 12, against Wheaton College
