The Keuka College Department of Athletics has announced that Jessica Franklin has been named the new Head Field Hockey Coach for the Wolves.

Franklin brings Empire 8 head coaching experience to Keuka College, thanks to previous stops at Medaille University and Elmira College.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to Keuka College,” said Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Jon Accardi M’09. “She brings a wealth of coaching experience and her commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field makes Jessica the perfect fit for our program.”

She was most recently at Medaille, where she got the Mavericks Field Hockey program off the ground. Prior to that, Franklin led Elmira College to six wins in 2019, tying for the most wins in a season for the Soaring Eagles since 2003.

Prior to her time at Elmira, Franklin served as an assistant coach for multiple successful programs including Limestone College (NCAA D2), SUNY Morrisville (NCAA D3), Oberlin College (NCAA D3), and Oswego State (NCAA D3).

“I am excited and thankful for the opportunity to coach at Keuka College,” said Franklin. “I believe that there is a ton of potential on this team and I am looking forward to advancing the program’s success. I feel very fortunate to be able to be a part of the future of this program.”

As a player, Franklin has Empire 8 Conference roots as well, graduating from Utica in 2014. She was a four-year member of the Pioneers Field Hockey team and helped lead Utica to a pair of Empire 8 Conference titles.

Franklin will jump right into recruiting for Keuka College, as well as preparing for the non-traditional spring season for field hockey. All will be done while keeping an eye on Fall 2025 and her first season in charge of the Green and Gold.
