The Keuka College baseball team was defeated 15-0 by Albertus Magnus College during its spring trip Friday at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Florida.

Despite the lopsided final score, Keuka received a solid outing from first-year pitcher Luis Rivera, who made his first collegiate start for the Wolves. Rivera pitched four innings, striking out four batters while allowing just one unearned run.

Albertus Magnus took the lead in the top of the first inning with a single run. Keuka threatened in each of the next two innings, advancing runners to second base, but the Wolves were unable to convert those chances into runs.

Rivera kept the Falcons largely in check through his four innings of work, leaving the game with Keuka trailing just 1-0. Albertus Magnus, however, broke the game open in the fifth inning with four runs to extend its lead.

The Falcons continued to build on the advantage, adding two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.

Keuka had a chance to break through in the bottom of the seventh when the Wolves loaded the bases with two outs, but a flyout ended the threat.

Albertus Magnus then sealed the victory with a six-run eighth inning, bringing the game to its final score of 15-0 in eight innings.

At the plate, Evan Cuba led Keuka with two hits on the day, while Zach Elinich recorded a double for the Wolves.

Keuka will continue its Florida trip Saturday with a doubleheader against St. Norbert College of Wisconsin.
