Hobart junior midfielder Cade Dino (Johnson City/Johnson City, N.Y.) was named the Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday. He produced a team-high four points to lead the Statesmen to a 13-12 victory over Bucknell last week.
Dino recorded three goals and an assist against the Bison. He recorded his assist on the first goal of the game. Dino netted back-to-back goals in the final 70 seconds of the first half to tie the game going into the break. He saved his biggest goal for last, breaking a 12-12 tie with the game-winner at the 2:30 mark of the fourth quarter.
Dino has started all three games this season and is fourth on the team with six points (5 goals, 1 assist).
Hobart is 2-1 overall heading into Tuesday’s showdown with Cornell (2-0). The Statesmen and third-ranked Big Red are scheduled to face off at 5 p.m.
