COACH’S CORNER

“We bowled against the largest field we have seen yet with 22 of the top 25 ranked teams across all divisions. We were able to see we can compete with many of these teams and are inching one step closer to getting the wins in those close matches. This was a great leap into the waters for our program and we are eager to see these teams again later in the season.” — William Smith Head Coach Heather Sterner

William Smith is ranked No. 7 in the latest NTCA Division II/III poll. Maryville is the top ranked DII/III team.

The Herons return to action, Feb. 8-9, when they compete in the AMCC Round Robin No. 2 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. William Smith went 5-2 in the first round robin which featured Baker matches. The Herons are tied for second in the conference standings and need to finish in the top-six to qualify for the AMCC championship, March 21-23 in Pittsburgh.
