The Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse team lost an Empire 8 Conference game to St. John Fisher University 30-4 on Wednesday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Three of the four goal scorers for Keuka College (3-11, 0-8 Empire 8) on Wednesday were first-years as Austin Holsclaw (Queensbury, N.Y. / Queensbury), Logan Crannell (Oswego, N.Y. / Oswego), and Mitchell Wise (Greece, N.Y. / Hilton) found the back of the net. Tre Lloyd (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy) rounded out the scoring for the Wolves.
The Cardinals outscored Keuka 10-0 in the first quarter and grew their lead to 15-0 before Lloyd scored for the Wolves. Austin Holsclaw added a goal with two minutes left before half, but the Wolves trailed 17-2 at the break.
Logan Crannell snapped a 10-0 Fisher run with 12 minutes left to play. Mitchell Wise scored his 26th goal of the season midway through the fourth to round out the scoring for Keuka.
Kaiden Larsen (Phelps, N.Y. / Midlakes) and Jaxson Tucker (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy) combined for 18 saves in the game for the Wolves. Larsen got his first career start in net and made eight stops in 35 minutes of action.
Daniel Rustay (Camillus, N.Y. / West Genesee) had a team-high seven ground balls against the Cardinals. Logan McMurtry (Rochester, N.Y. / Gates-Chili) added three caused turnovers. The senior cracked the top ten for caused turnovers in a season at Keuka College with 29 this year.
The Wolves will close their 2025 campaign on Saturday at home as Keuka College hosts SUNY Brockport at 1 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
