10 Statesmen Earn NFF Hampshire Honor Society Membership

Ten members of the Hobart football team earned membership in the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society. Membership is bestowed upon college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA, and sprint football who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.

This year, the NFF recognized a record 2,532 players from 339 colleges and universities.

Since 2008, Hobart has had 99 student-athletes earn a spot in the Hampshire Honor Society, including a program-high 12 last season. Current Head Coach Kevin DeWall ’00 has mentored 52 of those honorees during his seven years at the helm.

The following Statesmen were honored this year:

Over the past four seasons, Hobart has compiled a 33-11 record and made four consecutive postseason appearances. Following three straight ECAC Bowl bids, the Statesmen captured the 2024 Liberty League Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. Hobart (9-2, 6-0 in Liberty League) was paired up with sixth-ranked Susquehanna in the second round of the tournament, suffering a narrow 42-35 loss to the River Hawks, who eventually reached the national semifinals.
