The Junior Senator from New York has announced her bid for reelection.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said in email to supporters Thursday she will run to keep her seat in 2024.
She first came to the senate in 2009, being appointed to fill the seat left vacant when Hillary Clinton became United States Secretary of State under Barack Obama. She was reelected in 2012 and 2018.
