Saying that she is a leading champion for New York’s dairy farmers, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has unveiled her priorities for the upcoming 2023 Farm Bill negotiations.
She says she plans on reintroducing a bipartisan bill that would give dairy farmers more of a say in how much they get paid for their product.
Gillibrand says a major concern is how Canada is not following trade obligations with the U.S.
The number of dairy farms in New York declined by almost 18 percent from 2018 to 2021.
