Micron Technology is cutting even more jobs.
The company now plans to slash its workforce by 15%, up from a 10% cut announced in December. About 7,300 employees will lose their jobs.
Micron, a maker of memory chips, announced last year to invest $100 billion in the Onondaga County town of Clay over 20 years to build as many as four chip manufacturing plants.
State officials say the company would provide 9,000 new jobs in New York.
