Governor Hochul Touts Micron Facility at State of the State Address

During her State of the State Address, Governor Kathy Hochul reiterated the importance of the Micron Facility to be built in the Town of Clay.

 

Micron is expected to bring nearly 50-thousand jobs to the area over the next 20 years as it builds its semiconductor manufacturing plant in the Onondaga County town. The City of Auburn is already exploring ways to economically benefit from the facility.

Micron has, however, recently announced that it would be cutting its total workforce by 10 percent after a drop in sales.
