The votes are in and a capital project proposal for Cato-Meridian Central School District passed 158-60.
Residents voted Tuesday to approve the 33.1 million dollar capital improvement project for both the elementary and junior-senior high schools.
Highlights of the proposed plans include reconstructing the elementary school gym, adding greater security to the junior-senior high’s main entrance and office, and replacing both buildings’ sceptic systems.
The district says the funding will come from state aid, retiring debts, and reserve funds to ensure their is no additional taxpayer cost for the projects.
