Two Auburn residents are facing charges after an investigation by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force turned up 48-thousand dollars worth of illicit drugs.
Law enforcement say they executed a drug related search warrant Tuesday at 11 Madison Ave in the City of Auburn.
The occupants of the building, Ralph Principio and Anna Colonnese, were stopped during a traffic stop on Genesee Street near Baker Ave. Principio was found to be in possession of a large amount of money, heroin, and fentanyl, packaged for resale. A full search of the vehicle found over 11-thousand dollars in cash as well as other drug paraphernalia.
The search of the 11 Madison Ave apartment turned up roughly 243g of heroin, 96g of cocaine, and 417g of molly. More money, suspected LSD, drug packing materials, and a muzzle loader gun were also found and seized.
Principio and Colonnese were each charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and Principio was additionally charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon.
The pair were charged and held pending arraignment.
